I ordered these gray cobra micro fiber towels (pictured on the left) two years ago and was very impressed with the quality and performance. Thick duel pile towels had a fluffy side that would “cling” to your hand. A clear sign of the hundreds of thousands individual fibers that help grab dirt.After years of heavy use in auto detailing I wanted to replace them due to that fluffy side slowly losing the ability to “cling” over time. I was VERY DISAPPOINTED when I received these 2022 replacements (pictured on the right) which is clearly thinner than the originals. The high pile side felt like those hundreds of thousands fibers where run through a dryer on high and destroyed / burnt the material. Even the weight was noticeably lighter than the originals. When held up to a light bulb you can easily see light coming through due to the poor quality.Returned and now looking at The Rag Company’s microfibers. Loved the originals, but the latest versions are not worth it. The picture says it all.
